One of the cool opportunities that Journal keepers have is their treasured reflections of past experiences. Here are a few muses from writings over 10 years ago.
-I need to place my ego on God's altar. This is where I begin to slay the dragon of self in hopes to resurrect a heart of service.
-The Rebel Inside of Me..This is surely the title of my life. How often can a man continue to fight against himself and his own desires to realize that sins grasp is much too tight? Paul gave 3 lessons in Romans 7 in trying to deal w/ old sinful desires.1. knowledge isn't the answer 2. self-determination doesn't lead you to success 3. Salvation doesn't stamp out sin and temptations from a persons life. I have to recognize my total dependence on God. His work will empower us, our work will embarrass us.
